The popular Kensington High Street cycle route has been replaced by...parked cars 👏🏽
Shared space with more outdoor seating during COVID
@MikeyCycling @RBKC @mragilligan @willnorman @theJeremyVine First wands removed in front of Dutch embassy tonight https://t.co/Q3sKEubE49
To think the @RBKC might actually remove these bicycle lanes. These child friendly, eco positive, carbon neutral bicycle lanes. Surely not? #TheRoyalBoroughOfPetrolAndPollution #KensingtonHighStreet #SaveTheLane #CitizensAssemblies https://

Cycle stands and cycle lane.
Route signs for cyclists continuing from Holland Walk on the A402.
Cyclists Dismount sign at the top of Holland Walk, no dropped kerb or obvious way to continue.
Awkward place to put the cycle lane on Holland Park - and is that really meant to be wide enough for two-way cycling?
Southern end of the Holland Walk cycleway
Two-way cycleway on NCN route 4 past roadworks.
No pedestrians in the temporary cycle lane (NCN route 4)
The sign shows a contraflow cycle lane, but in fact it's a two-way lane (and NCN route 4).
Do Not Overtake Cyclists sign at roadworks - although cyclists can also use the shared-use footway.
Shared-use signs on NCN route 4 - perhaps it's a new Toucan crossing?

Right-turn lane on NCN route 4
It's not obvious, but the park bylaws on the rear of the sign indicate that cycling through to the King's Road is not allowed.
Bike-sharing station at the Chelsea Academy, but no ordinary bike parking visible.
It's really not very clear that NCN route 4 turns right here.

Whilst this cycle parking attached to a lamppost is fun and attractive, it indicates political failure to allocate proper space for cycle parking

Limited cycle parking for such a huge new Tesco.
Cycle contraflow, Earls' Court
Is there meant to be a cycle contraflow here? There's absolutely no signage to suggest it.

Pedestrian / cycle subway
There are currently 5 bike stands here but it is a very busy location outside waitrose. This photo was taken at 9am and is full with 10 bikes. It is s very large open area of pavement that has more space available for more bike racks.
